EQoL Network Engineer

Contract position, 10 month period in the Defence sector. The role is based in Canberra, ACT.

Base pay range
n
A$110.00/hr - A$135.00/hr
n
Responsibilities
n
n
- Support the rollout of the EQoL system across 52 vessels in the Navy.
n
- Refine cross‐class designs to meet platform specific constraints; STW the EQoL system including configuring and installing network devices.
n
n
Minimum mandatory requirements
n
n
- AGSVA Security clearance.
n
- Defence experience.
n
- Ability to obtain construction white card.
n
- In‐depth understanding and experience of switching mechanisms, routing protocols, transmission protocols, routing, and troubleshooting of networks.
n
- Valuable understanding of virtualisation, SDN, Linux OS and desirable exposure to open‐source technologies.
n
- Basic understanding of Layer‐3 packet encryption, load balancing, network aggregation and network security.
n
- Ability to undertake and document network designs, lead project design reviews, engineering assessments and investigations of complex networks.
n
- Degree in ICT Networking or Communications Engineering.
n
- Cisco Certified Networking Professional (CCNP) Enterprise.
n
- Fortigate (Fortinet Certified Associate) or better.
n
- Formal Cybersecurity training.
n
n
