Silverstrand is seeking Experienced Pipelayers to become a key part in shaping the future of our business alongside an experienced team.
BIBO project - Brisbane airport bus pick up - 2/1 roster. Camp and Meals provided.
12 hour days.
Large gas power plant project just outside of Dalby.
Pre-Employment medical required.
SEQ workers only.
Full Time
Pipelayers - $54.00 P/H+ Super + Penalties after 8 hours + Allowances ($5.50 P/H Site allowances,$1.50 P/H tool allowances, etc) + Saturday and Sunday penalty rates.
About the role:
This role is responsible for (but not limited to):
- Laying BlackMax Pipe 300 - 600mm+
- RCP Pipe
- Poly Welding
- Running small crews
- Setting up pipe lasers
- Ability to work directly from plans
- Safely dogging suspended loads accurately
- Rigging and securing loads for excavator placements
- Working safely around high risk machinery
- General labouring and trade assistant work as required
- Ability to read and understand plans
- Ensuring compliance with site safety & environmental requirements
The successful candidate must have the following experience:
- Minimum 5+ years' construction experience in pipelaying
- Ability to lay a variety of pipes ranging from Stormwater, Sewer and Water when required
- Poly Welding Tickets - Advantageous
- Experience on Subdivisions, Road upgrades and pipeline projects
- Experience with the technical aspects of pipe laying
- Dogman and Confined Space tickets required
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol test
