Conveniently located in the beautiful Goonellabah township, surrounded by an abundance of natural beauty. With four separate households, each with up to 20 residents. Your Uniting Homemaker ensures that the community is thriving and doing things that are meaningful and enjoyable.
Position Overview:
As a Household Dining Assistant, you’ll play an important role in creating a welcoming and enjoyable dining experience for our residents. You’ll support meal preparation and service, dining room set-up and resident preferences, while ensuring high standards of food safety, hygiene and presentation. Through every mealtime, you’ll help promote choice, dignity, independence and connection while contributing to the wellbeing of our residents.
This role is primarily Monday to Friday – 6am to 2pm or 7am to 3pm. (Opportunity to work weekends if you are interested).
Qualifications & Experience:
- Certificate III in Hospitality or an equivalent qualification. (Preferred, not mandatory)
- Food Safety Certificate (Highly Desirable)
- Minimum 3 months hands‑on experience in hospitality or food services – whether in catering, cooking or kitchenhand roles
- Knowledge of safe food handling practices and a passion for preparing quality, nutritious meals.
- Previous experience in community care or aged care is a bonus.
- You’re empathetic, adaptable, and resourceful, with a commitment to delivering excellent service.
