Job Description
For nearly forty years SCEA has been a part of the Christianeducational community of Perth since its humble beginnings inMidland in 1982. Today, Swan Christian Education Association (SCEA)is a not-for-profit association with more than 5,000 students, morethan 1000 staff and seven schools across the Perth metropolitanarea.

We invite applications to be a part of SCEA's Relief EducationAssistants register. You can nominate to work at any of our sevenschools.
n
You will support students' wellbeing and learning withcare and compassion, work collaboratively with staff and families,assist students with special needs, and engage in ongoingprofessional growth.
n
This is more than just an educator position – it's acalling to represent Christ through service, connect authenticallywith families, and support the flourishing of our schoolcommunity.
n
Key Responsibilities Include:
n
n
- Demonstrate care, compassion, and support for thespiritual, emotional, and social development of students.
n
- Understand and uphold your role in safeguarding andpromoting student wellbeing.
n
- Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and modelthe school's staff values of relationships, respect,collaboration, teamwork, responsibility, andaccountability.
n
- Work sensitively and proactively with students, includingthose with special needs, to support positive outcomes.
n
- Build and maintain open, positive relationships withfamilies, students, and colleagues to enhance learning andwellbeing.
n
- Engage in ongoing professional growth, take direction fromteachers,
and collaborate regularly regarding student progressand support.
n
n
Selection Criteria:
n
n
- To have a personal commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ andbe an active member of a Christian Church.
n
- To accept the Association's Statement of Faith,Foundational Statements of Belief and Educational Objectivesand be living a lifestyle consistent with thesestatements.
n
- The ability to build and maintain strong healthyrelationships between families, the SCEA Head Office staff andthe College.
n
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
n
- Highly organised and able to prioritise workloads.
n
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to makeinformed decisions in a narrow time frame.
n
- Proven ability to show initiative and take direction.
n
- Be a self-motivated learner with a willingness to developas an educator.
n
n
