Management Accountant – Independent School

Location: North Shore, Sydney

Role: Full-time | Permanent

We are partnering with a highly regarded independent on Sydney's North Shore to appoint a Management Accountant. This diverse and operational role supports the Business Manager and Chief Operating Officer across all areas of financial management, with a particular focus on payroll, budgeting, reporting, and analysis to guide decision-making and ensure compliance.

Key Highlights:
n
n
- Lead payroll oversight, including review, reporting, and cost analysis
n
- Deliver management accounts, reconciliations, and financial analysis to support leadership and Board reporting
n
- Support treasury functions, compliance, and annual audit processes
n
- Drive efficiencies, internal controls, and system improvements across the Business Office
n
- Contribute to the school's community values and mission through professional service
n
n
About You:
n
n
- CPA/CA qualified (or working towards)
n
- Minimum 2+ years accounting experience with payroll oversight
n
- Robust analytical and reporting skills, ideally with Power BI or similar tools
n
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities across academic and professional staff
n
- Experience in education or not-for-profit settings desirable
n
