Run the day-to-day operations of the clubhouse, bar, gaming, cool room & storage areas including overseeing staff while also ensuring that the facilities are properly maintained. The Bar Manager will also be required to ensure customer satisfaction and oversee the upkeep of administrative and financial records.
Core objectives include:
Main Tasks
- Proven ability to effectively manage all aspects of the bar and gaming areas.
- Organize & manage everyday operations. These include POS, Cash Handling, Stock Ordering, Restocking, Stock Control, Staff Rostering, Poker Machines, TAB and Keno.
- Maintain high levels of customer service and satisfaction ensuring prompt response to any enquiry, query or concern they may have.
- Supervise, support, direct, develop and recruit bar/gaming staff.
- Receive stock deliveries and distribute into the cool room and adjacent storage areas. Ensure the cool room and adjacent storage areas are kept clean, tidy and orderly.
- Ensure the clubhouse is clean & tidy. Ensure all equipment lighting and air conditioning is working properly.
- Ensure bar/gaming staff are aware of, adhere to and if required to enforce regulations and quality standards.
- Ensure bar/gaming staff practice and comply with OH&S; with any irregularities identified immediately reported to senior management
- Ensure members and guests comply with regulations and by laws.
- Review and prepare reports for Senior Management as required. Promptly report any faults, complaints or concerns to senior management. Promptly report any unruly or inappropriate behaviour to senior management.

- Extensive knowledge of bar/ gaming operations and systems.
- A minimum of both bar and gaming industry experience is essential.
- Ability to work under pressure and to a deadline.

Person Specification
- Australian citizenship is required for this position.
Qualifications
- Current NSW Competency Card for Responsible Service of Alcohol and Responsible Conduct of Gaming (preferably the Advanced Module).
Experience
- Relevant practical experience in a Supervisory position with the ability to display required competencies
- A minimum of 1-2 years supervisory experience is required.

- Good working knowledge of club operations

- Communication: the ability to communicate clearly and concisely, varying communication style depending upon the audience.
