A Federal Government program is seeking APS 6 Data Specialists to support the uplift of data capability across a large, complex delivery program. This is a hands‐on, delivery-focused role, ideal for candidates who enjoy working with unstructured data and transforming it into reliable, decision‐ready insights.

n

You will work closely with a senior data lead and program stakeholders to improve data structures, reporting, and analytics that support program management and oversight.

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Review, consolidate, and manage data from multiple sources
n
- Clean, standardise, and validate complex datasets to improve accuracy and consistency
n
- Support the development of logical data frameworks and models
n




- Build and maintain dashboards and reports using Power BI
n
- Improve the automation, consistency, and repeatability of reporting processes
n
- Prepare data outputs for senior stakeholders, program managers, and external reporting
n
- Document data definitions, assumptions, and reporting logic to support governance, audit, and business continuity
n

Skills & Experience

n

n
- Solid experience in data analysis and reporting within complex program environments
n
- Advanced Excel skills and hands‐on experience with Power BI
n
- Proven ability to work with fragmented and high-volume datasets
n
- Experience supporting program management or delivery-focused teams
n
- Background in large‐scale government programs highly regarded
n
- Strong stakeholder engagement, communication, and documentation skills
