Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Maintenance & Asset Coordinator to support a key underground mining contract in Emerald, Queensland.

n

This FIFO position is based out of Kurri Kurri, NSW, offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced mining professional looking to combine technical expertise, client engagement and commercial responsibility within a dynamic operational environment.

This is a diverse, hands-on role responsible for coordinating asset performance, maintenance activities, contract delivery and customer relationships to ensure our equipment operates safely, efficiently and reliably throughout its lifecycle.

About the Role

n

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will oversee the management and performance of a fleet of underground mining assets, ensuring maximum equipment availability while supporting operational and commercial objectives.

n

Working closely with our clients, site teams, maintenance personnel and internal stakeholders, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional service and ensuring contractual commitments are consistently achieved.

Key Responsibilities

n

- Manage underground mining assets throughout their full lifecycle, including maintenance planning, overhauls,



component replacements and asset retirement.
n
- Coordinate planned and corrective maintenance activities to maximise equipment availability and minimise downtime.
n
- Monitor asset performance, reliability and utilisation, implementing continuous improvement initiatives where required.
n
- Coordinate spare parts procurement, inventory management, tracking and warranty claims.
n
- Prepare maintenance schedules, delay reporting and equipment performance reports.
n
- Lead weekly operational reviews covering equipment availability, maintenance priorities, budgets and forecasting.
n
- Monitor contract performance, financial outcomes and commercial deliverables.
n
- Coordinate invoicing activities and assist with budgeting and financial forecasting.
n
- Develop robust working relationships with clients, acting as a trusted point of contact for operational and commercial matters.
n
- Work collaboratively across Operations, Maintenance, Hire and Finance teams to optimise contract performance.
n
- Ensure compliance with all contractual, legislative and company safety requirements.
n
- Ability and willingness to travel a minimum of three days per week to underground mine sites, client locations,



with additional travel as required to support operational and business needs

About You

n

You are a proactive and commercially minded professional with a passion for underground mining operations and equipment reliability.

n

You will bring:

n

n
- Demonstrated experience working with Underground Coal Mining equipment.
n
- Strong understanding of maintenance planning, asset management and equipment lifecycle strategies.
n
- Experience coordinating maintenance activities and improving equipment reliability.
n
- Sound commercial awareness, including budgeting, forecasting and contract performance.
n
- Excellent client relationship and stakeholder management skills.
n
- Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving abilities.
n
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
n
- Current Australian Driver Licence.
n
- Relevant trade qualification highly regarded.
n
- Qualifications in Asset Management, Project Management or Contract Management will be advantageous.
