About the role
As a Patient Services Coordinator, you will be the first point of contact for patients in a high quality specialist setting - not a GP or retail environment. Working with a close knit administration team, you will collaborate daily with ophthalmologists and clinical staff to care for patients and keep the clinic running smoothly. You will have the opportunity to play a key role in our patient experience therefore this is beyond just your general administrative role. Attention to detail, calm communication, and a high level of professionalism are essential.
This role which supports our QLD based Lasersight clinics, is a full time opportunity, rostered from Monday to Friday, with Saturday as required.
Duties
- Greet patients and manage check ins, appointments, invoicing and payments
- Respond to phone and in-person enquiries with professionalism and empathy
- Maintain accurate patient records in Xestro, the patient management system
- Coordinate clinic flow and support doctors and clinical staff
- Liaise with optometrists and external healthcare providers
- Assisting with general administrative tasks as directed by the Clinic Director
Skills and Experience
- Experience in a specialist or surgical medical practice is preferred
- Robust interpersonal skills and a calm, organised approach under pressure
- High attention to detail and accuracy with patient administration
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Experience with Xestro patient management system (highly regarded but not essential)
- A current (or willing to obtain) National Police Check
