With a healthy pipeline of upcoming work in the lower North Shore, they're looking for an experienced Leading Hand to join their site team and play a key role in the successful delivery of commercial projects.
n This is an excellent chance for someone looking to further develop their leadership skills while working alongside experienced Site Managers and Foremen on diverse commercial builds.
n
The Role
n As the Leading Hand, you'll support the Site Manager and Foreman with the day-to-day running of site operations, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
n You'll be responsible for coordinating labour, assisting with trade management, maintaining site safety, organising materials and helping keep projects progressing on schedule.
n
About You
n To be successful, you'll ideally have:
n
n
- Previous experience as a Leading Hand within commercial construction.
n
- Strong knowledge of construction site operations and sequencing.
n
- The ability to lead site labour and work collaboratively with subcontractors.
n
- A proactive attitude with excellent communication skills.
n
- A strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
n
- The ability to read construction drawings and follow specifications.
n
n
Key Responsibilities:
n
n
- Support the Site Manager and Foreman with daily site operations.
n
- Coordinate site labour and assist with subcontractor activities.
n
- Organise material deliveries and site resources.
n
- Assist with builder's works and trade coordination.
n
- Maintain high safety and housekeeping standards.
n
- Help manage tools, plant and equipment.
n
- Monitor quality and assist with defect rectification.
n
- Read drawings and technical specifications to support project delivery.
n
