I am looking for experienced VCE tutors for my daughter,who is currently in Year 12 at Firbank Grammar.

n

We are seeking tutoring support in the following VCE Units 3 and 4 subjects:

n

n
- Biology
n
- Physics
n
- Mathematical Methods
n

n

At this stage of Year 12, we are mainly looking for targeted SAC and final examination preparation rather than general tutoring or simply teaching ahead of the school curriculum.

n

We Are Particularly Interested In Tutors Who:

n

n
- have robust experience teaching the current VCE Units 3 and 4 course;
n
- are familiar with the current VCAA Study Design, examination requirements and examiner reports;
n
- can review previous SACs, schoolwork and practice examinations to identify individual weaknesses;
n
- can teach VCAA-style answering techniques and mark work according to VCAA criteria;
n
- can provide structured revision, timed exam practice and regular feedback;
n
- are patient, organised and able to adapt lessons to the student's needs.
n

For Mathematical Methods, the tutor should be able to prepare students for both Exam 1 and Exam 2, including CAS calculator techniques.

n

For Biology and Physics, solid experience marking written responses and explaining why answers gain or lose marks would be particularly valuable.

n

My daughter has approved learning adjustments at school and occasionally has medical appointments, so a supportive and reasonably flexible teaching approach is important.

n

Face-to-face lessons at our home in Brighton / North Brighton, or in nearby suburbs such as Hampton, Ormond, Bentleigh, McKinnon, Caulfield South or Sandringham, would be preferred. High-quality online tutoring may also be considered.
