Osborne Richardson is assisting a Central Queensland council with the recruitment of a Project Administration Officer to join its Water & Waste Directorate on a fixed-term basis until June 2027. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced administrator to support a directorate that keeps essential water, wastewater and waste services running for a thriving regional community.
About the Role
Reporting to the Team Leader, you'll provide high-level customer service and administrative support across the Water & Waste Directorate, helping the team maintain compliance, manage assets, and deliver a outstanding experience for residents.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service to residents across water, wastewater and waste enquiries
- Coordinate maintenance and retention of certification for the Integrated Management System
- Coordinate legislative and regulatory compliance activities and reporting
- Collect and analyse legislative and operational data
- Develop and maintain policies, procedures, guidelines, templates and forms
- Support coordination of asset management and investment decision-making
- Coordinate meter reading for water rates notices
- Provide administrative, procurement and financial support across the directorate
What You'll Bring
- 5+ years' experience in an administrative and customer service environment
- High-level administrative skills across word processing, spreadsheets and correspondence
- Strong customer service skills, including following up on outstanding requests
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with internal and external stakeholders
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Outlook
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to set priorities and manage workflows
- Experience in contract administration, including tender preparation and document management
- Budgetary and financial experience highly regarded
Essential Requirements
- Current C Class Open Queensland Driver's Licence
- Certificate III in Administration/Business, or equivalent experience
