About The Role
n
Carinity Education Shalom is seeking a Secondary Teacher to support young people (Years 7-12). This is a highly rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference by delivering targeted, student-centered learning within a supportive, trauma-informed environment.
n
In this role, you will play a key part in helping students engage with education, build confidence, and work towards achieving their personal and academic goals. As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will contribute to creating a safe, inclusive school culture where every student is supported to succeed.

Your Day-to-day Will Involve
n
n
- Develop and implement engaging learning aligned to the Australian Curriculum v9
n
- Build strong, trust-based relationships with students, supporting their wellbeing and growth
n
- Guide classroom behaviour using calm, consistent and trauma-informed approaches
n
- Work closely with Youth Workers and support staff to respond to student needs
n
- Collaborate with families, carers and external services to support student outcomes
n
- Participate in team planning, case discussions and school activities
n
- Monitor attendance, track progress and maintain accurate student records
n
n
About You
n
You are a passionate and adaptable educator who is committed to supporting young people to re-engage with learning and achieve their goals. You build strong, respectful relationships across the school community and bring a calm, compassionate approach particularly when working with students at risk.
n
You thrive in a collaborative environment, working alongside youth workers and support staff to provide consistent, student-centered support. With strong communication and organisational skills, you're confident delivering quality learning, engaging and purposeful instruction, and contributing to a secure, inclusive school culture aligned with Carinity's values: Compassion, Respect, Excellence, Accountability, Teamwork, Engage positively.

- Qualified and a QCT registered teacher
n
- Strong classroom practice, high expectations teaching, culturally responsive and trauma-informed pedagogy.
n
- Possession of valid Driver's Licence
n
- Alignment with Carinity's Christian ethos and values of compassion, respect and teamwork
n
