Responsibilities

- Design & build Oracle Databases
n
- Oracle standalone
n
- Oracle RAC
n
- Oracle ADG
n
- Golden Gate is added advantage
n
- Design & build MySQL / PostgreSQL Databases
n
- Standalone
n
- Master Slave configuration / DR setup
n
- Design & build Microsoft SQL Databases
n
- Standalone
n
- AlwaysOn
n
- Replication or Logshipping
n
- Oracle Enterprise Manager Ops Centre knowledge
n
- Develop and maintain system documentation related to the database configuration
n
- Perform Patch & release management
n
- Perform performance trend analysis and manage the server/network capacity
n
- React to potential problems using automation, scheduling, and monitoring tools -- escalating to management where appropriate
n




- Participate in configuration and implement technical solutions to enhance and/or troubleshoot the system
n
- Knowledge of following Operating System environments
n
- Redhat/Oracle Linux
n
- IBM AIX
n
- Oracle Solaris
n
- Windows Servers
n

n

Interpersonal Skills

n

n
- Proven ability to deliver results as required within specific time frames.
n
- Ability to work within a team in a cross cultural workplace.

- Ability to work after hours.

Qualifications And Experience

n

n
- 5 - 7 years of experience as Database Admin on Oracle, MySQL, Microsoft SQL.
n
- Formal IT related qualifications.
n
