An international development group is establishing its presence in Western Australia, commencing with a landmark purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) project in Perth. With an initial investment of approximately $160 million and capacity for around 600 beds, this project represents the foundation of a broader development pipeline in the State.

The organisation is long-term focused, capital-backed, and committed to delivering high-quality, operationally successful assets. As the inaugural project in Western Australia, this development will set the benchmark for future projects, governance standards, and delivery frameworks.

The Opportunity
n
The Senior Project Manager will take full end-to-end responsibility for delivering the company's first WA development from early works through to practical completion and handover.
n
Acting as the client's representative, you will have full accountability across programme, cost, quality, safety and risk. Beyond delivering the project, you will play a critical role in establishing robust project governance frameworks, contractor relationships, and best-practice processes to support future developments across Western Australia.

Key responsibilities include:
n

- Leading the planning, execution and delivery of a $160m+ multi-storey PBSA development
n
- Acting as the principal client-side interface with head contractors, consultants and specialist advisors
n
- Establishing standardised project and contract management processes aligned to best practice
n
- Managing budgets, cash flow forecasting and cost reporting
n
- Leading procurement strategies across consultants, early works and construction packages
n
- Overseeing programme development, monitoring and recovery strategies
n
- Ensuring design coordination aligns with statutory approvals and operational outcomes
n
- Establishing governance, reporting and risk management frameworks
n
- Managing key stakeholders including authorities, operators, investors and internal executives
n
- Identifying delivery risks, value engineering opportunities and cost pressures
n
- Ensuring compliance with WHS, quality and environmental standards
n
- Supporting post-completion reviews and embedding lessons learned for future projects
n
- This is a highly autonomous, senior-level appointment with full accountability for successful delivery.

About You
n
You are an experienced client-side or senior delivery professional with a proven track record delivering large-scale building projects in Western Australia, typically in excess of $100 million.
n
You will bring:
n
Demonstrated experience delivering complex, multi-storey developments such as PBSA, BTR, residential, hotel, healthcare or mixed-use projects
n
A background in client-side project management, development management,
or senior roles within Tier 1 or Tier 2 contractors
n
Strong commercial and contractual management capability
n
Deep understanding of WA construction market conditions, consultants, subcontractors and statutory processes
n
Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and engage confidently with senior local and international stakeholders
n
A proactive and visible commitment to Health & Safety leadership
n
The ability to operate with high levels of autonomy, accountability and strategic oversight
n
You will hold a degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or a related discipline and have delivered projects through the full lifecycle within Western Australia.
