Horner Recruitment is proud to partner with ANSTO (Australian Nuclear Science and Technology Organisation) to recruit a Technical Writer to join the Australian Centre for Neutron Scattering (ACNS) team at Lucas Heights.

About the role
n
Reporting to the Compliance Group Leader, you will support scientific and engineering projects by preparing and coordinating technical documentation that meets quality, safety, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
n
Key responsibilities include:
n
n
- Preparing technical and project documentation for scientific and engineering projects
n
- Collaborating with scientists, engineers, technicians, and project managers to capture technical information
n
- Translating complex concepts into clear, audience-appropriate documentation
n
- Coordinating document reviews and stakeholder feedback
n
- Supporting quality, safety, and regulatory documentation requirements
n
n
About you
n
You will be a curious and technically minded communicator who can translate complex systems, technologies, and scientific concepts into clear technical communications.
n
Eligibility requirements
n
n
- Willingness to undergo and obtain security clearance
n
- A degree in STEM, Engineering, Science, Technology, or a related discipline (honours degree highly regarded)
n
n
What you'll bring

- Experience working in a technical environment such as engineering, science, research, technology, or another highly regulated industry (experience within laboratory, defence, or nuclear environments highly regarded)
n
- Strong written communication skills and attention to detail
n
- Ability to interpret technical information and communicate it clearly
n
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
n
