Overview
n
We are seeking an Oil Reservoir Management Engineer to join Petroleum Engineering/Safaniya Reservoir Management Dept. The department develops and manages world‐class fields, reservoirs, and reserves at our Exploration and Petroleum Engineering Center in Dhahran.
n
Duties & Responsibilities
n
n
- Provide expert guidance and oversight on best‐in‐class reservoir management principles, practices, and cutting‐edge technologies across all Saudi Aramco hydrocarbon assets.
n
- Formulate reservoir development, data acquisition, strategic surveillance, and monitoring of master plans to optimize asset development and depletion strategies, maximizing NPV and hydrocarbon recovery.
n
- Lead and participate in integrated field reviews and field development plans.
n
- Prepare critical reservoir engineering inputs for drilling and workover proposals, recommending creative completion techniques for complex well configurations (horizontal and multilateral wells).
n
- Lead studies focused on optimizing ultimate recovery through reservoir stimulation modeling of various Improved Oil Recovery (IOR) processes.
n
- Engage in professional development activities, including participation in technical societies, sharing expertise, and mentoring young engineers.
n
- Recruit talent, ensuring at least 10 years of experience, including 7 years specializing in oil reservoir management, and credentials in relevant courses and seminars.
n
- Apply knowledge of open‐hole and cased‐hole logs, geological modeling, simulation, completion and production procedures and technologies.
n
- Utilize expertise in formation evaluation, geological modeling, simulation, reservoir appraisal, field development planning, completion, production/injection procedures, water flooding, reservoir surveillance, SCAL, PVT, geochemical analysis, and fluid compatibility.
n
- Apply Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and data analytics where possible.
n
- Maintain history of using modern reservoir management practices for oil reservoirs.
n
