Eureka Hotel | GeelongEureka Hotel is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Commis Chef to join our kitchen team and help bolster the food side of the business. We’re looking for someone who is passionate about food, enjoys working in a busy kitchen and is keen to continue developing their skills. You’ll work alongside an experienced team across a varied pub menu, helping deliver quality meals to our guests while maintaining high standards of food safety, cleanliness and presentation. This position will commence on a casual basis during probation, with the opportunity to move into a full-time position for the right candidate.
What we’re looking for
- Previous experience in a commercial kitchen
- A genuine passion for food and willingness to learn
- A positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Ability to work well within a busy kitchen team
- Good communication and organisation skills
- Strong focus on food quality, consistency and presentation
- Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
- Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including weekends and busy periods
