ABOUT THE ROLE
n
MESHKI is seeking a Head of Design to define, elevate and protect our product handwriting – ensuring every collection, category and product expression is commercially powerful, creatively distinctive and unmistakably MESHKI.
n
This is a senior leadership role sitting at the heart of our product function, reporting to the Co‐CEOs and Head of Buying & Product Development. You'll work closely with Buying, Planning, Garment Technology, Sourcing, Creative and Ecommerce to bring products to life that are commercially strong, creatively distinctive and unmistakably MESHKI.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
n
n
- Define and protect the MESHKI design handwriting by developing a clear, consistent design direction across all categories that makes product recognisable, desirable and unmistakably us.
n
- Identify and develop the silhouettes,
fabrications and product signatures that can become long‐term brand pillars, working with Buying and Planning to bring them to life.
n
- Lead seasonal design direction and range cohesion by partnering with founders and the broader product team to ensure every collection, capsule and drop ladders back to one transparent brand vision.
n
- Elevate creative standards across the design team by raising the bar on sketches, fabric selection, colour palettes, silhouettes and finishing, ensuring the product feels fresh, original and ahead of competitors.
n
- Lead, develop and build a high‐performing design team. Mentor Designers and foster a culture that is creatively sharp and commercially aware.
n
- Partner with Buying, Planning and Trade, using sell‐through, return rate, margin and customer feedback data to inform design decisions and ensure product direction supports commercial objectives.
n
- Work with Garment Technology, Sourcing and Production to strengthen fit consistency, reduce return risk and improve the overall reliability of product.
n
- Help define which categories MESHKI should lead, supporting range clarity and ensuring each category has a distinct identity and reason to exist.
n
- Partner with Creative, Ecommerce and Brand to ensure design intent is accurately translated into campaigns, PDPs and customer‐facing content.
n
- Build stronger design processes and standards to create a more disciplined design calendar, from concept through to sample review and post‐launch analysis, reducing wasted development time and reactive working.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO BRING
n
n
- Proven experience leading design within a contemporary womenswear, premium fashion, high‐growth DTC or global retail environment, with a strong portfolio of commercially successful, creatively distinctive work.
n
- A refined, commercial eye with the ability to create a product that is not only beautiful but desirable, ownable and globally relevant, balancing creative originality with business discipline.
n
- Demonstrated experience building product icons and range architecture including developing styles, silhouettes and signatures that become synonymous with a brand over time.
n
- Strong leadership capability with experience managing, mentoring and developing a design team, setting high standards and building a culture of creativity and accountability.
n
- Cross‐functional credibility with ability working alongside Buying, Planning, Garment Technology, Sourcing and Creative teams, and able to translate design vision into commercially executable product.
n
- The ability to use sell‐through, return data, customer feedback and commercial performance to refine and strengthen design direction without compromising brand identity.
n
- Deep understanding of fit, fabrication and construction and how design decisions upstream affect product quality, return rates and customer satisfaction.
