The Role (What You'll Be Doing)
n

- Own the client journey: manage client relationships and coordinate the visa application process end‐to‐end using the Matilda platform – from eligibility screening right up to lodgement.
n
- Deliver excellent outcomes: work with senior lawyers and migration experts to prepare and review visa applications with a high attention to detail, focusing on client experience.
n
- Streamline and systematise:
identify workflow bottlenecks and help implement tools and processes that improve speed, quality, and consistency.
n
- Wear multiple hats: collaborate across functions – operations, growth, product, and beyond pure legal work in an early‐stage startup.
n

About You (Who You Are)

Must‐Have
n
n
- A law degree and 1–3 years of experience working as a lawyer.
n
- Demonstrated track record of outperforming peers in academic, professional, or extracurricular settings.
n
- High ownership and agency – you work autonomously, identify problems before they become blockers, and take pride in doing things well.
n
- A client‐obsessed mindset – you consistently put client outcomes first and use this to guide decisions and problem solving.
n
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
n
- Strong organisational ability and attention to detail under pressure.

Nice‐to‐Have
n

- Experience in a startup, or in the migration or legal tech sector.
n
- Experience using tools like Hubspot, Notion, Slack.

- Interest in or knowledge of the Australian visa system (training will be provided).
