An exciting opportunity has become available for an exceptional Head of Preschool to join an established, Exceeding-rated early learning service on the NSW Central Coast.
As part of an exciting period of growth, this beautiful service is opening two brand-new Preschool Rooms, creating a rare opportunity for an experienced educator to lead the educational direction of the Preschool program from the very beginning.
This role offers the perfect balance of teaching, mentoring and educational leadership. You'll remain connected to children and families while enjoying dedicated non-contact time to develop curriculum initiatives, mentor educators and drive continuous improvement across the Preschool program.
About the Role As Head of Preschool, you will:
- Lead the educational direction and vision of the Preschool program.
- Deliver engaging, high-quality learning experiences aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework.
- Mentor and support Early Childhood Teachers and educators to deliver exceptional practice.
- Coordinate inspiring projects, excursions and meaningful community partnerships.
- Foster inquiry-based, child-led learning environments.
- Drive continuous quality improvement and educational excellence.
- Build strong relationships with children, families, colleagues and the wider community.
- Work collaboratively with an experienced Leadership Team committed to maintaining Exceeding practice.
About You We're looking for someone who brings both educational expertise and a genuine passion for inspiring others.
You will have:
- Bachelor of Early Childhood Education (or ACECQA-approved equivalent).
- Current NESA Proficient Teacher Accreditation.
- Minimum five years' experience as an Early Childhood Teacher.
- Demonstrated experience leading curriculum and mentoring educators.
- Strong knowledge of the National Quality Framework, National Quality Standards and Early Years Learning Framework.
- Outstanding communication, leadership and organisational skills.
- A collaborative, positive leadership style with a commitment to continuous improvement.
- A passion for creating engaging learning environments where children thrive.

Position Details
- Full-time permanent position
- Monday to Friday
- Service operating hours: 7:00am – 6:00pm
- Flexibility to work a combination of opening, middle and closing shifts is required to support the operational needs of the service.
