DOF is seeking experienced Electro‐Technical Officers to join our Marine team. The role involves maintaining and administering electrical and electronic installations and systems on highly specialised vessels.

Responsibilities
n
n
- Maintaining and administering all electrical, electronic installations, machinery automation, DP and navigation systems, as well as communication and network systems.
n
- Ensuring the electronic equipment on board is suitable and compatible with the vessel electrical supplies.
n
- Checking electronic equipment and ensuring it complies with the regulations.
n
- Managing a detailed log where all maintenance is recorded.
n
n
Qualifications
n
n
- Electro‐Technical Officer certificate of competency (STCW regulation III/6) with a minimum of two years offshore experience.
n
- Previous experience working in the offshore oil and gas industry on DP vessels, such as Platform Supply Vessels, Dive Support Vessels, Anchor Handling Tug Supply Vessels, Multi‐purpose Supply Vessels and/or Construction Support Vessels.
n
- Hold a current AMSA and/or Norwegian medical or similar.
n
- Hold a current BOSIET, CAEBS and MISC is preferred.
n
- DP‐KPOS certified is highly desirable.
n
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, coupled with intermediate computer skills and knowledge.
n
- Strong troubleshooting and technical skills with highly service‐minded and solution oriented.
n
- Ability to travel at short notice with Australian Work rights.
n

This position will be based offshore in Australian waters with occasional opportunities internationally.
