We are currently partnering with a global leader in energy management and automation to recruit a Tendering Engineer to join their expanding Global Services team. This is an initial 6-month contract, with strong potential for extension, and is based in Melbourne with flexible hybrid working arrangements.Reporting to a global leadership team, this role will see you take ownership of end-to-end tendering and quotation preparation across a diverse portfolio of exciting projects. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to mission-critical projects within the electrical distribution space, supporting a rapidly growing customer base, while playing a key role in the ongoing energy transition.

Your new role

n

You will be responsible for:

- Review customer RFQs, specifications and tender documentation for field service activities
n
- Identify cost-effective, technically compliant solutions to meet client requirements
n
- Collaborate with both local and international stakeholders on bid development
n
- Engage with customers to leverage technical expertise and shape optimal solutions
n
- Prepare tender submissions including technical compliance, risk assessments and approvals
n
- Develop detailed costings and ensure margin targets are achieved
n
- Produce quotations within agreed timeframes,



defining transparent technical solutions and mitigating risks
n
- Support ongoing business growth initiatives aligned with company strategy
n
- Manage handover of successful tenders to project execution teams
n
- Participate in occasional domestic travel as required
n

What you'll need to succeed

n

n
- Tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering (Degree or Diploma)
n
- Demonstrated experience in tendering, bid preparation and quotation development
n
- Strong ability to interpret technical specifications, contract terms and commercial requirements
n
- Experience across LV and MV electrical distribution systems, ideally including installation and testing
n
- Exposure to protection relays, switchgears, transformers, protection relays etc.
n
- Familiarity with major OEM products and service offerings within the electrical space is advantageous.
n
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills with a collaborative approach
n
