This is an exciting opportunity to join goods grocer' as a Department Manager / All rounder at our Keilor East or Altona store. As a Department Manager / All rounder, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of our retail operations. With a focus on customer service, you will lead and motivate your team to deliver an exceptional shopping experience for our valued customers.

What you'll be doing

n

- Oversee the day-to-day operations of your assigned department(s), ensuring targets and key performance indicators are met
n
- Manage, coach and develop a team of retail assistants, fostering a positive and productive work environment
n
- Maintain stock levels, order replenishments, and ensure efficient merchandising and presentation of products
n
- Assist with cash management, banking and other administrative duties as required
n
- Provide exceptional customer service, handling queries and resolving any issues that may arise
n
- Contribute to the development and implementation of department-specific strategies and initiatives
n
- Collaborate with other department managers and the store management team to achieve overall store objectives
n

What we're looking for

- Proven experience in a retail management or supervisory role, preferably within the grocery or FMCG industry (coles, woolworths, IGA, foodworks or local grocer experience)
n




- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively lead and motivate a team
n
- Excellent customer service orientation and problem-solving skills
n
- Proficient in inventory management, merchandising, and administrative tasks
n
- Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

- A passion for the retail industry and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences
