Are you ready to make a real difference in the lives of young people in your community? This is your chance to be part of something meaningful.

We’re seeking expressions of interest from a passionate and community-minded First Nations person to join our team in Lightning Ridge NSW (Yuwaalaraay Country). This is a full-time role (75 hours per fortnight) . You’ll be helping young people feel strong, supported and connected to services in their community.

About the Role

As an Aboriginal Youth Wellbeing Worker with our headspace Outreach Program, you’ll play a key role in supporting your mob and helping young people feel strong and connected. Your work might include:

- Encouraging young people to reach out for support and sharing ways to look after mental health in ways that make sense for your community.
- Providing warm, culturally safe guidance to help young people (aged 12–25) find the right services and support when they need it.
- Bringing people together through community activities that support physical, emotional, social and spiritual wellbeing.

You’ll be supported every step of the way by an organisation that puts its commitment to First Nations peoples at the heart of everything we do.

What You’ll Bring

- Identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander (this is a genuine occupational requirement under Section 14 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977).
- A qualification or relevant industry experience in Mental Health, Primary Health,



Community Services
- Solid problem-solving and decision-making skills, with a sense of integrity and initiative.
- Great communication and people skills and the ability to manage your time well.
- Confidence working independently and as part of a team.
- Confidence using Microsoft Office and general computer skills.
- A valid Australian Driver’s Licence and willingness to travel for work - this role will require regular outreach to communities within Western NSW
