We are seeking an experienced Account Executive to join our general insurance broking team.
This is primarily an internal broking support role, working closely with an experienced Account Director and Account Manager across a portfolio of SME and mid-market clients. You will also communicate directly with clients by telephone and email, helping the team maintain responsive and high-quality service.
Key responsibilities
- Support the Account Director and Account Manager with the day-to-day management of client accounts.
- Obtain and enter quotations for SME and mid-market clients.
- Prepare and process policy, renewal and endorsement documentation.
- Complete invoicing and maintain accurate client and policy records.
- Communicate with clients by telephone and email.
- Liaise with insurers and underwriters to obtain information and progress matters.
- Assist with renewals, new business and general broking administration.
- Monitor outstanding tasks and ensure matters are followed through promptly.
- Provide other administrative and broking support as required.
About you To be successful in this position, you will ideally have:
- At least two years’ experience in general insurance broking or a similar role.
- Experience using Insight or a comparable insurance broking system will be considered.
- Experience obtaining and processing quotations.
- Experience supporting SME and mid-market clients.
- Confidence communicating professionally with clients, insurers and colleagues.
- Solid attention to detail and accurate data-entry skills.
- The ability to manage competing priorities and follow tasks through to completion.
- A reliable, professional and service-focused approach.
- Relevant insurance qualifications or a willingness to complete required training.

Working arrangements
- The proposed hours are 8.45 am to 4.40 pm from Monday to Friday, with a one-hour unpaid lunch break.
- The position is office-based five days per week
- The company will offer one WFH day subject to completion of training, operational requirements and management approval.
- The successful candidate must be able to attend our Norwest office reliably on the required days.
