About Pace Live

Pace Live is an Australian based global entertainment company that develops, produces, promotes, and tours premium theatrical productions. Our work spans financing, development, creative and technical production, tour scheduling, marketing, and facilitation, delivered through a complete end to end model.

Supported by growing global infrastructure and trusted relationships with theatres, promoters, and industry partners across key international markets, we don't just create our productions. We tour them, book the venues, promote the seasons, and present them directly to audiences around the world.

Our productions have reached audiences across Australia, Recent Zealand, Ireland, Canada, the United States (including New York's Off Broadway), and the United Kingdom (including London's West End), and our global touring footprint continues to expand.

About the Role

We're hiring an Accounts Assistant to join our finance team on the Gold Coast.

This is a hands on processing role. You'll be the person keeping the day to day accounts moving across a business that runs more than two hundred shows a year in five countries. Coding, receipts, invoices, reconciliation, and keeping everything accurate and current.

You'll report to the Senior Finance Team, Producers and work alongside our Accounts Administrator. The work is high volume and detail driven. Accuracy matters more than speed here, because a miscoded transaction in one country becomes a problem in three.

This suits someone with a couple of years of accounts experience who wants exposure to a genuinely international finance function rather than one company's ledger. There's room to grow as the business does, and if you're studying towards CA or CPA we'll support it.

What You'll Actually Do

Coding and data entry

- Code transactions accurately across multiple entities and currencies.
- Enter and process invoices, receipts, and expense claims.
- Keep coding consistent against the chart of accounts. When something doesn't look right, flag it rather than guessing.

Receipts and expenses

- Own the receipt register. Chase missing documentation from staff and touring crew until you have it.
- Process expense claims and credit card transactions.
- Keep records filed and findable.

Accounts payable support

- Enter supplier invoices and match them to purchase documentation.
- Prepare the weekly payment run for approval.
- Handle supplier queries and keep supplier records current.

Accounts receivable support

- Raise invoices and apply receipts.
- Support the weekly receivables sweep and follow up outstanding accounts.

Reconciliation

- Complete bank and credit card reconciliations across multiple accounts and currencies.
- Investigate and resolve unmatched items rather than leaving them sitting.

General finance support

- Keep finance documentation and filing in order.
- Support the Accounts Administrator and Financial Controller with ad hoc tasks.
- Help with payroll administration and record keeping.

What Success Looks Like

- Transactions are coded correctly the first time.
- Reconciliations are done and clean.
- The payment run is accurate and ready when it needs to be.
- Receipts are current, not chased at quarter end.
- Nothing sits in your inbox unanswered.

Who You Are

- You are accurate. You check your work before it goes anywhere.
- You take ownership. You see things through and you say something when you're stuck.
- You are organised. High volume doesn't rattle you.
- You ask when you're not sure rather than guessing.
- You are reliable and responsive, and people always know where things are up to.
- You want to learn and you're happy to get stuck in.

What You'll Need

- Full Australian work rights.
- Minimum 2 years in an accounts, bookkeeping, or finance administration role.
- Solid understanding of coding, reconciliation, and basic accounting principles.
- Xero experience.
- Confident Excel skills.
- Strong attention to detail and a track record of accurate work at volume.
- Fluent English for supplier and internal communication.
- Reliable and available during Australian business hours.

Nice to Have

- Studying towards a relevant accounting qualification.
- Multi entity or multi currency experience.
- Live entertainment, touring, events, or hospitality industry experience.
- Experience with Slack and Monday.com, as we run our entire operation on them.
- Payroll administration experience.

The Practicals

Hours: Full time. Core business activity sits around 9am to 5pm AEST.

Location: Gold Coast HQ. Minimum four days per week in the office. This is a collaborative finance team and the role works best in the room.

Salary: $65,000 to $70,000 per annum plus superannuation, commensurate with experience.

Reports to: Financial Controller.

Life at Pace Live

- Complimentary tickets to Pace Live productions.
- Invitations to opening nights, team events, and industry networking.
- Support towards CA or CPA study.
- A growing business with growing opportunities. As Pace Live scales, so does the scope for the people who help build it.
- Access to professional development, including industry training, conferences, AI tools, and events relevant to your role.
