Bayswater

Exercise Physiology. Rehabilitation. Strength. Long-Term Capability.

We’re looking for an Accredited Exercise Physiologist who believes there should be more to rehabilitation than simply getting someone out of pain and discharging them. Someone who wants to help people move beyond injury, rebuild their strength and confidence, and ultimately become more physically capable.

That’s the space Evolve operates in.

Many of our clients sit somewhere between traditional treatment and conventional fitness.

They may have persistent pain, recurring injuries, previous surgeries, significant movement limitations or complex injury histories. Some have completed physiotherapy or other treatment but still aren't ready to simply walk back into a gym.

We exist in the space between rehabilitation and long-term strength, fitness and health.

We're looking for an AEP who wants to help us develop that space further.

About Evolve

Established in 2007, Evolve is a private coaching facility in Bayswater built around a simple philosophy: We're not just trying to improve someone's workout. We're trying to build a more capable human.

We work predominantly with adults who want to improve their strength, movement, fitness and overall health. They often have injuries, limitations or a history that makes the path more complicated.

Our approach brings together individualised training, rehabilitation, movement assessment and broader health and nutrition coaching to look beyond one injury, symptom or goal and consider the whole person.

The Role

We're looking for a specialist coach and Exercise Physiologist who can work with the more complex clients and rehabilitation cases that require greater clinical knowledge than our general Personal Trainers can provide.

This may include

- Persistent or recurring musculoskeletal pain
- Current or previous injuries
- Post-operative rehabilitation and return to training
- Significant movement restrictions
- Complex injury histories

- Clients transitioning from physiotherapy back into exercise

You'll assess, program and coach these clients while working alongside our broader coaching team. You'll help us determine when greater clinical oversight is appropriate, and how we transition people from rehabilitation into long-term strength, fitness and capability.

We're looking for someone comfortable with both worlds:

Clinical reasoning AND coaching.

Rehabilitation AND strength training.

Managing limitations AND building capability.

University Mentorship & Placements

Evolve has established a relationship with Deakin University to provide placements for Exercise Science and Exercise Physiology students, commencing in November 2026. You'll be supported by our broader coaching team while providing the AEP oversight required for the program.

It's an opportunity to develop not only as a practitioner, but also as a mentor, educator and future leader.

Where Could This Role Go?

The initial role is clear: Coach clients. Lead our more complex rehabilitation cases. Help develop our university placement program.

Where it goes from there is something we're open to building with the right person.

That could mean progressing into Senior Coach, Head Trainer, Clinical Lead or Head of Coaching & Clinical, or helping us develop a much larger Exercise Physiology service.

We also have a separate upstairs space within our Bayswater facility that could support a dedicated clinical practice in the future.

We know what we need today. We don't want to put a ceiling on what the right person could help us build tomorrow.

Who We're Looking For

You must be a current ESSA Accredited Exercise Physiologist (AEP) who genuinely enjoys coaching people. We're particularly interested in someone with:

- Strong rehabilitation and clinical exercise knowledge
- A good understanding of strength training and exercise technique
- The ability to translate clinical reasoning into practical coaching
- Excellent communication and client relationship skills
- The confidence to work independently and take responsibility
- A genuine desire to keep learning and developing
- An interest in mentoring future Exercise Science and Exercise Physiology students

Experience in rehabilitation, strength and conditioning, private practice or Personal Training will be highly regarded. Current First Aid, CPR and appropriate qualified insurance will be required.

What You'll Get

- Initial part time hours, with room to grow into a full time role
- An existing base of rehabilitation and higher-needs clients
- No need to generate your own leads or build a caseload from scratch
- Tiered Remuneration based on experience, qualifications and responsibility
- Ongoing mentoring and professional development
- A meaningful role in our Deakin University placement program
- Pathways into senior coaching, clinical and leadership roles
- The opportunity to help shape Evolve's future Exercise Physiology and clinical services
