About the role
Reporting directly to the Head of Client Services, you’ll lead and motivate a dedicated team of professionals across the key services areas of Counselling, Parenting Orders Program and Family Advocacy Support Services. You’ll provide strategic leadership to ensure high-quality service delivery, strong community partnerships, a positive workplace culture, and effective management of staff, safety, compliance, and budgets.
What you'll do:
- Service Delivery: Drive operational excellence through data-informed decision-making, effective budget and resource management and oversight of customer experience and risk management
- Drive Excellence: Oversee service delivery to ensure the highest standards through strategic leadership, planning, performance management, and governance
- Operational Leadership: Lead and support teams to deliver high-quality services and positive outcomes for clients
- Community Engagement: Expand our impact by building relationships with local communities, service providers, and advocacy groups to support program growth and referrals
- Champion Workplace Culture: Uphold and embody the organisation’s values, fostering a positive, safe, and inclusive workplace culture that supports staff development and wellbeing
The details
- Full time,
approx 12-month contract (parental leave contract)
- Based at Wollongong
- Approx. $133,000–$135,000 base salary (depending on skills and experience) plus 12% super, 17.5% leave loading, and tax-free salary packaging up to $15,900.
What you’ll bring
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Social Work, Social Science, Psychology, Counselling, or a related discipline
- Extensive leadership experience in community services or a similar people-focused environment
- Experience in a role focused on service delivery management, leadership, and customer experience
- Ability to build effective relationships with community partners and key stakeholders
- Experience in managing budgets, compliance, workplace safety, and operational performance
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with a commitment to inclusive and culturally safe practices
