Greater Northern Community Services – Langwarrin VIC

Greater Northern Community Services (GNCS) is seeking an experienced Support Worker to support a female participant in her early 40s living with Huntington's Disease in Langwarrin. You will provide person-centred support while encouraging independence and building a genuine and trusting relationship with the participant.

Key responsibilities

- Community access and outings
- Grocery shopping
- Meal preparation
- Light household cleaning
- Supporting independence with everyday activities
- Personal care as required

About you

- Previous experience supporting someone with Huntington's Disease
- Robust knowledge and understanding of Huntington's Disease and the support needs that may come with it
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Working With Children Check (WWCC)
- Current First Aid & CPR
- Valid driver's licence and reliable vehicle
- Comfortable around a small dog in the home
- Reliable, patient, compassionate and able to provide consistent support
