About the Role

n

The Ten Tops assistant's main responsibility is to ensure their section/store is adequately stocked, well merchandised, and presented to maximize sales and provide excellent customer service at all times, including the possible operation of the register if required. In a small team, you will need to be skilled across all areas.

n

Responsibilities include:

n

- Maintain a strong culture of safety at all times, including the correct use of carton cutters, ladders, and trolleys.
n
- Follow departmental procedures as per the Ten Tops standard.
n
- Communicate effectively; ask questions if unsure.
n
- Provide efficient and accurate customer service to valued clients.
n
- Maintain high standards of merchandising and presentation in your work area.
n
- Stock, replenish, and rotate shelves and displays, ensuring rotation is paramount.
n
- Keep your work area contained; trolleys, ladders, and boxes should be neat and tidy to prevent trip hazards and ensure smooth customer flow.
n
- Immediately clean up all liquid spills and section off the area.
n
- Operate and balance the cash register.
n
- Maintain a high standard of personal presentation and uniform.
n

- Follow instructions from managers at all times.
n
- Assist with product selection as required.
n
- Perform cleaning duties as needed.

- Be punctual, reliable, and positive.
