About the role
n
AGL's Renewables team based at the Hallett Wind Farm is looking for a Wind Service Technician to ensure the safe and efficient operation of our wind farms across South Australia and Victoria, helping deliver AGL's vision for a sustainable future.
n
Based at the Hallett Wind Farm in South Australia, this site consists of 45 wind turbine generators with a total capacity of 95 MW and has been operational since 2008, playing a significant role in providing clean, renewable energy to the region.
n
This is a hands‐on technical role focused on maintaining and servicing wind farm assets to ensure reliability, safety, and optimal performance.

What you will be doing
n
n
- Perform routine and breakdown maintenance, servicing, inspection, and monitoring of wind farm assets
n
- Prepare work records and reports, including input into SAP
n
- Adhere to all Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) systems and AGL's safety standards
n
- Conduct Hazard Risk Analysis and Job Safety Analysis as required
n
- Ensure compliance with Secure Access Rules and participate in toolbox and safety meetings
n
- Receive Access Authorities and progress to Recipient In Charge (RIC) if required
n
- Supervise contractors and service providers to ensure safe and high‐quality work
n
- Provide and receive on‐the‐job training, mentoring team members to maintain high skill and safety standards
n
- Demonstrate AGL values by collaborating across the business and contributing to overall success

What you will bring
n
You're a skilled technician with a strong mechanical or electrical background, passionate about renewable energy and safety.
n
n
- Electrical (Preferred) or Mechanical Trade qualification (with a "disconnect reconnect" licence preferred but not required)
n
- HV certification (preferred)
n
- Experience with HV/LV systems, hydraulics, and mechanical systems in industrial, commercial, or residential environments
n
- Understanding of wind farm operations and maintenance for safe, efficient performance
n
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration
n
- Self‐motivated with excellent time management and ability to work independently and in a team
n
- Valid Victorian or South Australian driver's license (depending on asset location)
n
- Willingness to work at heights and in confined spaces
n
- Additional desirable qualifications: GWO training, working at heights, manual handling, HV/LV rescue, fire awareness, first aid
n
