An Eastern NSW hospital requires a Specialist in Surgery for the following dates.

n

Shift details:
n Friday 28 Aug: 7:00 pm – 7:00 am offsite on‐call
n Saturday 29 Aug – Monday 31 Aug: 7:00 am – 7:00 pm onsite on‐call, then 7:00 pm – 7:00 am offsite on‐call.
n Tuesday 1 Sep: 7:00 am – 7:00 pm onsite and on‐call, with handover to the incoming on‐call surgeon.

n

Compensation: $1,000 daily for 12‐hour shifts (Friday and Tuesday); $2,000 daily for 24‐hour shifts (Saturday–Sunday).

n

Travel and accommodation are provided.

n

Responsibilities

n

n
- Perform a wide range of surgical procedures in general surgery, including gastrointestinal, hernia and gallbladder operations.
n
- Provide comprehensive pre‐operative and post‐operative care.
n
- Participate in a 24/7 general surgery registrar team for emergency and elective cases.
n
- Handover duties to the incoming on‐call surgeon.
