Job Title – AI Change Manager
Job Location – Sydney
Employment Type – Contract/FTC
What Role You Will Play In Team : AI Change Manager AI agents that carry out everyday business processes from start to finish, rather than just drafting or summarising them.
Working alongside teams in Operations, Safety, Procurement, EPMO and Commercial, the Agentic AI program looks for the repetitive, queue-based and approval-heavy work that fills people’s days and rebuilds it so agents handle the routine steps while people stay focused on the decisions that need judgement. It is being rolled out in stages, from everyday Copilots to knowledge agents and then fully automated workflows,
with a person kept in the loop on every decision that matters and explicit governance and security around all of it.
About The Role You will lead the people side of the move to a digital workforce. The technology only pays off if teams actually take it up, so this role is about getting people ready: reshaping how roles work, running the training, keeping communication clear, and building the momentum that turns early wins into lasting habits.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and run the change and communications plan for each business area, covering what is changing, why, when it happens and what staff are expected to do.
- Lead the redesign of roles so people move from doing the work themselves to supervising agents, handling exceptions and owning outcomes.
- Set up and deliver role-based AI training for Copilot users, process owners, analysts, champions and builders, including hands-on sessions where people build agents on real client Airport workflows.
- Grow the AI Champions network, run build clinics, and keep the self-service AI@SYD learning hub stocked with examples and reusable material.
- Track adoption and gather feedback (what people use, what they find valuable, where they get stuck) and report on the advantages being realised.
- Manage the human side of the transition by protecting morale, capability and trust, and making it clear that AI is there to lift outcomes, not to quietly cut jobs.
- Work with the governance team to keep unmanaged “shadow AI” in check and embed AI-first ways of working across the business.
Skills & Experience Required
- At least seven years in organisational change management, with a track record of delivering change on enterprise technology or digital transformation programs.
- Grounding in a recognised change method such as Prosci or ADKAR, used from start to finish on large rollouts.
- Real experience driving take-up of AI, automation or a major SaaS platform across a sizeable workforce.
- Confident stakeholder and executive communication, at ease influencing both senior leaders and frontline staff.
- A background in training or curriculum design and in building champion or community-of-practice networks.
- Comfortable reshaping operating models and roles, and setting the measures that show adoption and value.
- Happy working with ambiguity and pace in a fast-moving technology setting.
Desirable
- Familiarity with Microsoft Copilot and Copilot Studio, and with AI governance such as AI registers and responsible-AI practices.
- Experience in aviation, operations or another workplace that runs around the clock.
- Change certification (Prosci) or a project delivery credential (Agile, PMP).
