About APG Software

APG Software builds practical AI systems for home-services, construction and manufacturing businesses. We sit with the people who run the business, map how the work really happens, identify the operational waste, and build the AI systems that remove it. That means working inside the CRM, field-service, accounting and ERP systems these industries already depend on.

We are hiring one person to own that process end to end.

This is a product management role, but not the corporate kind where you manage a backlog for one software product. Each client operation is the product. You will discover the problem, turn messy business context into a clear specification, direct our AI agent squads to build the solution, review the output, and deliver the result to the client.

You will have real ownership early. You will work alongside the founder on live engagements, then take responsibility for your own portfolio of clients. The role is based in Sydney because working directly with clients on-site is an important part of the job.

What you will do

- Run discovery sessions with business owners and operational teams, including in office visits across Sydney.
- Map how work, data and decisions move through home-services, construction and manufacturing businesses, including the CRM and operational systems they use every day.
- Turn ambiguous conversations into clear processes, requirements, acceptance criteria and priorities.
- Use Claude and APG's agent squads to produce audits, specifications, prototypes, automations and working software.
- Review what the agents produce. Know when the evidence is sufficient, when a specification is precise enough to build,



and when a human decision is required.
- Present recommendations, explain the commercial value, and own the client relationship through delivery.
- Feed reusable patterns and improvements back into APG's delivery system.

The three skill sets
1. Product discovery and consulting. You can interview people, find the real problem behind the request, map a process, make trade-offs and turn ambiguity into a plan people can act on.
2. Industry software fluency. You have worked hands-on with CRM, field-service, accounting or ERP systems used in home services, construction and manufacturing. That might include HubSpot, Salesforce, Xero, QuickBooks, Simpro, ServiceM8, Microsoft Business Central, Odoo or similar tools. You understand how leads, jobs, quotes, schedules, invoices, production work and approvals flow through an SME.
3. Hands-on AI building. You do more than prompt a chatbot. You have built useful skills, agents, plugins, automations or workflows with Claude or comparable tools, and you can show us what you made.

You do not need the job title Product Manager today. Strong candidates may come from product, business analysis, implementation consulting, operations, customer success, accounting systems, trades technology or independent AI automation work.

How you will ramp You will begin by joining the founder on real client engagements. As you learn the method and demonstrate the quality bar, you will move from co-running sessions to owning engagements independently. The goal is a portfolio of three to five clients, with autonomy and compensation scaling as your ownership grows.

Compensation

- $100,000 base salary plus superannuation.
- Uncapped commission on the client work you own, including 5% of cleared client invoices plus performance bonuses.
- Realistic OTE of approximately $125,000–$155,000 plus superannuation on a typical portfolio.
