Prince of Peace OSHC is seeking enthusiastic casual Educators to join our welcoming and professional team.
Based at the Junior Campus of Prince of Peace Lutheran College, our service provides before school care, after school care, pupil-free day care and vacation care for children from Prep to Year 6. We deliver engaging programs that support children's wellbeing, learning and development through play, exploration and meaningful relationships.
Guided by the My Time, Our Place Framework and the National Quality Framework, we provide a safe, inclusive and stimulating environment that caters to the diverse interests, abilities and needs of all children in our care.
About the Role
- Supervise and engage children in a variety of indoor and outdoor experiences
- Create a safe, inclusive and welcoming environment where children feel valued and supported
- Assist in delivering engaging programs aligned with the My Time, Our Place Framework and National Quality Framework
- Build positive relationships with children, families, staff and the wider college community
- Work collaboratively as part of a supportive and professional team
- Undertake Responsible Person duties when required
- Support the day-to-day operation of the service, including maintaining a clean, organised and safe environment
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (Children's Servies) or another ACECQA-approved qualification
- Sound knowledge of the National Quality Framework and National Quality Standards
- A current Paid Blue Card, current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis certifications
- Previous experience in OSHC, childcare or a similar education and care setting
- Availability to work a range of shifts, including both opening and closing shifts during before school care, after school care, vacation care and pupil-free days
- Solid communication and interpersonal skills
- A positive, professional and proactive approach to your work
- A genuine passion for supporting children's learning, wellbeing and development
- A willingness to work within the Christian ethos of the service
- Current Child Protection Training in accordance with Section 162A of the Education and Care Services National Law
- Ongoing professional development and career progression opportunities
