The Head Coach – Netball provides strategic leadership of Somerset College's netball program, driving participation, player development and performance excellence. This role inspires students and coaches, fosters an inclusive and high-performing culture, and supports the continued growth of netball across the College.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced netball leader to build on a strong tradition of success and develop the next generation of confident, resilient student-athletes.

Key Responsibilities

n

- Lead and oversee Somerset College's netball program, driving participation, development and performance
n
- Coach student-athletes and support coaches across all levels of the program
n
- Manage team selections, training, competitions and athlete development pathways
n
- Mentor coaching staff and foster a culture of collaboration and excellence
n
- Oversee program operations, including planning, budgets, events and logistics
n
- Build robust relationships with students, families, staff and the wider netball community
n
- Promote inclusion, wellbeing, sportsmanship and positive sporting experiences
n
- Monitor program outcomes and drive the continued growth and success of netball at Somerset College
n

You're an energetic and inspiring netball leader who is passionate about developing student-athletes and building a positive, high-performing sporting culture.

- Proven experience in netball coaching, program leadership and athlete development
n
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage teams,



competitions and events effectively
n
- The ability to inspire, mentor and support players and coaches across all levels
n
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with students, families, staff and stakeholders
n
- A commitment to fostering inclusive participation, sportsmanship and performance excellence
n
- Sound judgement, professionalism and a values-driven approach to leadership and student wellbeing
n
- Attainment of relevant Netball coaching qualifications and hold a valid Working with Children (Blue Card) or a willingness to obtain
n
