Our mission since 1989 has been to improve workplace wellbeing and support Australians' mental health. We provide services such as EAP counselling, critical incident response, onsite and remote support, psychosocial risk management, and tailored wellbeing consultation to help individuals and organisations thrive.

The Business Development Manager is responsible for driving organisational growth by identifying and securing new business opportunities, building and maintaining a strong network of contacts and expanding AccessEAP's presence in target market segments. This role combines strategic market research, sales forecasting and revenue generation with the oversight of key growth projects to ensure alignment with organisational objectives.

We are open to more junior individuals who are looking to take the next step in their career. This role can be based in Sydney or Melbourne.

Key responsibilities

- Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to target and engage new customers across multiple industry sectors, in alignment with AccessEAP's growth objectives.
- Maintain a detailed understanding of AccessEAP's solutions suite, value proposition, and relevant local and international industry trends to identify new customer and partnership opportunities.
- Manage the full sales cycle, including prospecting, qualifying, presenting, negotiating, and closing business opportunities; maintain a robust pipeline of qualified leads and opportunities, ensuring timely follow-up.
- Proactively prepare and coordinate high-quality tailored business proposals and contracts for prospective customers.
- Conduct customer meetings,



pitches and group presentations to promote AccessEAP's offerings and reinforce its market position.
- Increase the customer base through attending industry events, conducting research, cold calling, following up on inbound leads, and generating qualified prospects.
- Gather customer feedback and monitor market trends to guide the development of future products and services; support and communicate new product launches, promotion.
- Demonstrates the ability to continuously monitor the competitive landscape, industry trends and market developments to identify emerging business opportunities.
- Gathers, analyses, and interprets market data to inform sales strategies, product developmentand organisational decision-making.
- Work closely with the other departments, including Clinical, Learning & Organisational Development, Finance and Customer Care to ensure seamless onboarding and service delivery for new Customers & Clients
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop compelling proposals and presentations.

What we're looking for

- Proven track record in achieving and exceeding sales growth targets, with 3-5 years' experience in a business development role.
- Demonstrated ability to build business value through targeted development activities and strategic relationship management.
- Solid knowledge of business and sales growth techniques, with outstanding negotiation and networking skills.
- Clear and persuasive verbal and written communication skills, including experience in presentation delivery and proposal writing.
- Experience with Dynamics CRM.
- Experience in the mental health sector desirable.
