About the role:
n
We currently have an opening for a Technical Estimator and Design Draftsperson in our Keilor Park office . Reporting to the Laser Department Manager, you will be responsible for:
n
n
- Supporting Automaint Lasers customers and clients through all items relating to parts manufacture & laser cutting and fabrication of their products
n
- Servicing our customer's needs and requests professionally, thoroughly and in a timely manner
n
- Follow up with customer requests, including quotations, order processing, technical and general queries.
n
- Assisting the production, sales, and customer service team with technical support when required
n
n
About the candidate:
n
n
- Experience in sheet metal manufacturing with a high degree of experience in drafting for sheet metal processes
n
- An understanding of fabrication processes including, laser cutting, folding, welding and assembly processes
n
- Experience with 3D design packages, preferably Inventor
n
- Experience in Sheetmetal design
n
- Preparation of quotes
n
- Liaising with suppliers to source components
n
- Good organizational and team working skills
n
- Robust analytical and problem-solving skills
n
- Ability to prioritize and work to tight deadlines
n
- Willing to learn laser cutting & brake press folding software
n
- An understanding of quality management systems
n
- A working experience of MS Office
n
- Training and ongoing support
n
- Company uniform
n
n
