The Role
We’relooking for a practical and customer-focused Service Department Technician to join our Service Department in Tuggerah.You’llrepair and service reels, helpidentifysparepartsand provide prompt, professional support to retail stores and consumers.
Working closely with the ServiceDepartmentLead, Warehouse, Customer Service, Product and Marketing teams,you’llhelp keep repairs moving,maintainaccurateservice records and deliver positive customer outcomes.
This role offers the opportunity to develop specialist product knowledge,
build technical repair expertise and grow your career within a global outdoor and consumer products business. You'll receive ongoing support and training while working alongside experienced industry professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, assess, repair and service products in line with customer requirements and service procedures
- Record repairs and servicing accurately, including parts and cost information
- Identify spare parts by reading schematics and interpreting product and parts information
- Assist with spare parts ordering, stock checks and inventory accuracy
- Support warranty claims and ensure the correct documentation is completed
- Provide accurate, timely responses to customer enquiries and keep customers updated on delays or back-orders
- Raise product, stock and quality issues with relevant internal teams, vendors and repair agents
- Maintain a clean, safe and well-organised spare parts and service area
- Contribute to service reporting, continuous improvement and strong teamwork across the business
About you
You don’t need to tick every box, but the following will help you succeed:
- Experience in a spare parts, repair, workshop or service environment.
Previous fishing industry experience is highly regarded but not essential.
- Practical mechanical capability and confidence using hand tools and mechanical equipment
- Ability to read schematics and accurately identify parts
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accurate record-keeping
- Transparent, helpful communication and a customer-first approach
- Good organisation and time management, with the ability to balance multiple priorities
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach and the ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills and proficiency using SAP
- A genuine interest in fishing, outdoor products or learning more about the industry
- We can teach our products. What matters most is your mechanical aptitude, willingness to learn and commitment to customer service.
