Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist – Coastal Metro Hospital

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced specialist to join the Mental Health team at a leading public hospital located in the vibrant bayside region of Melbourne.

n

This is a rare opportunity to work with a major metropolitan hospital that serves a diverse and growing population, including some of the most at-risk youth in the state. You'll be part of a well-established child and youth mental health service delivering high-quality, evidence-based care in both inpatient and community settings.

Key Responsibilities:

n

n
- Provide psychiatric assessment, treatment, and management for children and adolescents with complex mental health needs
n
- Collaborate with a team of psychologists, social workers, nurses, and paediatricians in a truly integrated model of care
n
- Supervise and mentor junior medical staff and trainees
n
- Engage in service development and quality improvement initiatives
n




- Participate in on-call roster and clinical governance activities as required
n

n

Who We're Looking For:

n

n
- Fellowship of the RANZCP, with accredited subspecialty training in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry
n
- Current (or eligibility for) specialist registration with AHPRA
n
- Demonstrated experience in working with vulnerable young people and families
n
- Strong communication, leadership, and team collaboration skills
n
