About The Role
n
Reporting to the Head of Health, Safety & Wellbeing, this senior role provides strategic HSW leadership across a designated region while contributing to national programs and enterprise-wide initiatives. You will partner with leaders at all levels to strengthen risk ownership, build leadership capability, and drive the consistent implementation of our Health, Safety & Wellbeing strategy. This is an opportunity to move beyond compliance and help influence how safety is led across a large, diverse and evolving organisation.

What You'll Be Doing
n
n
- Partner with leaders to embed a proactive, leader-led approach to health, safety and wellbeing.
n
- Design, implement and assure national HSW programs aligned to strategic priorities.
n
- Lead initiatives that strengthen management of both critical and psychosocial risks.
n
- Use data, insights and assurance outcomes to identify trends, emerging risks and opportunities for improvement.
n
- Coach and influence senior leaders to improve risk management capability and accountability.
n
- Partner with leaders to proactively manage workplace injuries through effective early intervention strategies and return to work support.
n
- Lead or support significant incident investigations and assurance activities.
n
- Build strong relationships with operational leaders, regulators and external stakeholders.
n
- Challenge traditional ways of working and drive practical,
risk-based improvements across the business.
n

What We're Looking For
n
You are a strategic and commercially minded HSW professional who enjoys partnering with leaders, influencing change and turning risk insights into meaningful action.
n
You'll Bring
n
n
- Tertiary qualifications in Health & Safety or a related discipline.
n
- Extensive HSW leadership experience within a large, complex organisation.
n
- Strong knowledge of contemporary risk management, assurance and governance practices.
n
- Demonstrated ability to coach and influence senior stakeholders.
n
- Experience designing and implementing enterprise-wide programs and initiatives.
n
- Strong analytical and communication skills, including executive-level reporting.
n
- A passion for continuous improvement and creating safer workplaces.
n
