As a Fire Technician Apprentice, you will work alongside experienced members of our team while completing the training required to become a qualified Fire Technician. You'll gain practical, hands-on experience across a broad range of fire protection systems and equipment.
Key responsibilities
- Work with fire extinguishers and fire blankets
- Work with fire detection and alarm systems
- Work with Fire Indicator Panels (FIPs)
- Work with emergency and exit lighting
- Work with fire doors and other passive fire equipment
- Work with fire sprinkler and hydrant systems
- Routine inspection, testing and maintenance
- Fault finding and repairs
- Fire compliance and Australian Standards, including AS 1851
- Service reporting and documentation
About you
- Genuinely interested in building a career in the fire protection industry
- Reliable, punctual and takes responsibility for their work
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Takes pride in doing a job properly
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
- Communicates professionally with customers and colleagues
- Current Australian driver's licence,
or working towards obtaining one
- Willing to undertake the required study and training to become qualified
