You will be part of a small friendly team of skilled model makers, making all manner of models from Apartments buildings to processing plants to highly confidential technology prototypes to silicone body parts.

Qualifications & experience

- Previous model-making experience essential
- Presentation model making capability
- Proficiency in 3d and 2d CAD
- Attention to detail
- Experience in laser cutting and 3D printing
- Experience in wood fabrication
- Ability to work in a fast-paced setting on tight deadline
- Architectural drawings knowledge is an advantage but not essential

Tasks & responsibilities

- Select suitable materials and 3D printing techniques for model creation Operate 3D printers and laser cutters to create components and prototypes, and perform post-processing for finish enhancement Construct and assemble parts with precision, employing hand-building techniques where necessary.




- Translate drawings and design concepts into detailed 3D models using CAD software.
- Plan and manage model projects to meet project goals and budgets. Adjust processes to meet targets where necessary. Report on progress.
- Regularly maintain equipment to ensure smooth operation.
- Adhere to safety protocols and best practices in the model-making and 3D printing processes.
- Keep the working area organised, neat and tidy.
- Utilize project scheduling and control tools to monitor project plans, labor hours, budgets, and expenditures in order to ensure customer needs are met in a timely and cost-effective manner.
