The opportunity

What makes this opportunity different is the chance to come in at the beginning.

This is a genuinely greenfield structures workplace.

You are not stepping into someone else's construction methodology or inheriting a package already well into delivery.

You will have the opportunity to shape how the structures package comes together from the outset, influencing constructability, methodology, sequencing and ultimately how the work is delivered in the field.

The technical challenge is significant.

The scope incorporates TMR specification rail bridges through forestry and across creeks and roads, including a major bridge crossing over the Bruce Highway.

Piling, Super T construction, complex interfaces and the requirements of a Design and Construct environment all form part of the challenge.

For someone who has built major bridges before this is an opportunity to use that experience where it will genuinely count.

You will work closely with senior project, design and engineering leadership, bringing a construction lens to decisions early and helping establish the delivery strategy for one of the project's most important packages.

A bit about you

You have built bridges where the construction solution is not always obvious.

You understand TMR specifications and bring genuine structures depth across piling, culverts, concrete structures and bridge construction.

Ideally, you have delivered a multi span bridge over a live highway and understand the planning, temporary works, staging and risk that comes with building around critical transport infrastructure.

Just as importantly, you enjoy the front end thinking.

You want to be involved while methodology can still be challenged, designs can be influenced and better construction outcomes can be created.

Desired skills and experience

- Your background will likely have been developed within a Tier 1 or upper Tier 2 contractor delivering significant bridge and structures packages.
- Design and Construct experience is important, alongside strong piling capability and ideally Super T construction experience.
- We are looking for someone with the technical credibility to challenge constructively, the commercial judgement to understand the consequences of decisions and the leadership capability to take ownership from planning through to delivery.
