The Opportunity The Workforce Strategy and Planning team delivers enterprise workforce planning, reporting and analytics to ensure ASD has the workforce capability required to meet current and future priorities. The team integrates workforce strategy, data and systems to produce actionable insights, strengthen workforce decision-making, and support workforce uplift. This includes developing workforce plans, improving data maturity, and embedding consistent workforce processes, governance and reporting across the organisation.

ASD is seeking EL1s to strengthen workforce planning capability across both data-driven reporting and strategic workforce planning. These roles sit within the team’s core delivery function and work across workforce data, systems and strategy to translate organisational priorities into practical outcomes. Working closely with senior stakeholders, the roles will deliver workforce insights, support ERP-enabled workforce management, and communicate strategic intent to drive informed decision-making and business adoption.

Key duties include

- Lead workforce reporting and visualisation, including development of dashboards and products that provide clear, actionable insights
- Utilise and manage ERP workforce data and functionality to support workforce management, data quality and reporting outcomes
- Deliver workforce planning activities, including demand and supply analysis, scenario modelling and workforce risk identification
- Translate workforce strategy into practical tools, frameworks and processes to support implementation across the organisation
- Engage and influence stakeholders,



communicating workforce insights and strategic intent to embed workforce planning into business-as-usual decision-making

You bring strong judgement, a proactive approach, and the ability to translate complex information into clear, practical insights. You can work independently, manage competing priorities, and contribute to a collaborative team environment.

Key skills and attributes

- Experience in workforce planning, reporting or analytics, including use of dashboards or visualisation tools
- Robust analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and provide clear, actionable insights
- Experience working with HR or ERP systems and workforce data
- Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills, including the ability to explain and apply strategic intent
