Assistant Accountant

Minimum Qualifications / Experience

- Grade 12 certificate
- Degree or Diploma in Bookkeeping / Accounting
- At least three years accounting experience
- Have knowledge and experience in financial modules (Preferably Accpac)
- Must have the ability to work without supervision
- Must have the ability to work under pressure and be able to adapt to sudden changes
- Must have positive interpersonal and communication skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Positive attitude and hardworking.

Duties And Responsibilities (not Limited To)

- Preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations
- Allocation of expenses
- Overseeing of creditors department
- Deal with all queries and settle those that are within limits of authority relating to creditors
- Assist with monthly creditor reconciliations and payments




- Assist with internal and external audits
- Assist with integration and reconciliation of diesel transactions
- Processing of cost recovery invoices
- Execute ad hoc, daily and monthly tasks
- Execute all agreed projects and / or carry out ad hoc assignments
- Monitor BBBEE status of vendors and requesting valid BEE certificate from vendors
- Forward RTOs with correct GL account number to Buyer
