The Role

n

n
- Monitor and report on WHS process compliance
n
- Manage the WHS management system, policy, and workers' compensation
n
- Provide advice and support to stores, warehouses, and support locations on WHS and regulatory matters
n
- Develop and implement the WHS strategic and operational plan
n
- Maintain safety management manuals, registers, and systems
n
- Perform thorough investigations into accidents, incidents, and near misses
n
- Design, organise, and deliver training materials on health and safety practices
n
- Analyse WHS data, report on trends, and provide recommendations
n
- Negotiate premiums with relevant insurers
n

Some key responsibilities also include

n

n
- Conducting Risk Assessments: Identifying hazards and controlling risks in the workplace
n
- Developing Safety Policies: Creating and implementing health and safety procedures
n
- Providing Training: Educating employees on WHS procedures and emergency protocols
n
- Investigating Incidents: Looking into workplace accidents and incidents
n

Qualifications and Experience

n

n
- Extensive knowledge of WHS legislation, regulations, codes, and standards
n
- Demonstrated WHS experience in a high-risk and operational environment
n
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
n
- ️ Excellent prioritisation and time management skills
n
- Ability to communicate effectively in oral and written form
n
- Experience in retail/warehousing (preferred)
n




- Exposure to an airport environment (highly regarded)
n
- Ability to travel occasionally to sites across Australia and New Zealand
n
