Why join the business: Our client, a family-founded civil construction and plant hire company, proudly based in Toowoomba, is looking for an Accounts and Payroll Officer to join their team.

About the role

- Doing end-to-end payroll processing to ensure accurate and timely payment of employees;
- Performing accounts receivable functions, including invoicing, payment allocation and follow-up of outstanding accounts;
- Completing regular bank reconciliations;
- Assisting with the preparation and lodgement of BAS;
- Providing general administrative support to assist with day-to-day financial operations;
- Working closely with the company accountant to support overall financial management;




- Liaising with project managers and team leaders across the business to ensure smooth and efficient financial processes; and
- Contributing as part of the team to keep financial operations running effectively and efficiently.

About you

To be successful in the role, you will ideally have experience in bookkeeping and accounts. You will demonstrate integrity, reliability, respect, and a proactive approach to supporting your team. Advanced computer skills in the Microsoft Office Suite and ideally MYOB will position you well for success.
