The Opportunity

Based in our Melbourne CBD office, you'll play a key role supporting our market-leading Property team across a portfolio of Mid-Market and Large Corporate accounts. You'll work directly with experienced underwriters, gain exposure to complex property risks, and develop the technical expertise required for a successful underwriting career.

What You'll Be Doing





- Supporting the underwriting team with renewals, new business and portfolio management.
- Assisting with premium calculations, technical pricing and reinsurance processing.
- Preparing policy documentation, endorsements and underwriting files.
- Managing renewal and quotation pipelines to ensure opportunities are progressed efficiently.
- Responding to broker enquiries and delivering exceptional service.
- Building strong relationships with brokers, clients and internal stakeholders.
- Supporting underwriting operations and contributing to portfolio profitability.
- Playing an active role in the continued growth of HDI's Property portfolio.

What We're Looking For

- Experience in General Insurance, Property Insurance or a related field.
- Strong attention to detail and exceptional numerical capability.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A proactive, curious and commercially minded approach.
- ANZIIF studies (completed or underway) will be highly regarded.
- Permanent working rights in Australia.
